About
Hi and welcome to Snapshot of a Life. My name is Karen and I currently live in Massachusetts with my loving husband Matt (of almost 18 years) and “owned” by our adopted dachshund named Ty. I am a housewife and part-time Compliance Analyst for a bank in Boston. While I love being home I do enjoy that little taste of corporate life 3 days a week. I am also a member/volunteer of Coast to Coast Dachshund where we rescue and rehome dachshunds in need.
My interests are my family, traveling, cooking, photography, novice knitter and quilter. Being able to travel is something I relish and look forward to planning the next trip taking snapshots with my Nikon D90. The Nikon D90 offers numerous features and my goal is to learn the camera settings to its fullest potential. Cooking is a mini-passion and will share recipes my family/friends have enjoyed. I would label my cooking/recipes simple to semi-complex which is an ongoing learning experience. When time allows there will be some knitting (mostly scarves) and quilt projects that I will share with you.
I would like to acknowledge the beautiful “header” of the shuttered windows at the top of the blog to my very talented sister-in-law Merrie. If you ever need a website/logo design as well as brochures and newsletters, email Merrie Lavigne at mtravigne@comcast.net for her portfolio and client list. Merrie is professional, has affordable rates and a fast turnaround time.
Comments are always welcomed and thanks for looking!
